On Friday 21st of October 2022, we celebrated our successful Solar My School project. Our school has successfully installed a 39kW solar system which will help produce clean green energy to power our school’s learning facilities.
We thank those who supported us. The call to stewardship is very much a part of our Catholic Social Justice charter and something Pope Francis has highlighted in many of his letters.
The celebration was attended by Mayor Pettett and the Ku-ring-gai Council who fund the project team, the Honourable Jonathon O’Dea and the State Government who provided a grant of just over $15,000, the P&F and the Parish who provided the remainder of the funds to cover the remaining costs of the project.
What an amazing achievement! Annually, these 86 solar panels will produce enough power to run 247 computers or 8 homes and will save our school approximately 44 tonnes of carbon emissions per year, the equivalent of taking 15 cars off the road!
The new 39kW solar system is installed through the Solar my School program to help our school navigate a path to solar success.
“The Solar My School Program has supported us in responding to our call of stewardship of the gift that is our world in a real and visible way.” Lou Dogao, Principal
